Priceless

One night in the emergency room and subsequent gall bladder removal before insurance: $15,644.41

One night in the emergency room and subsequent gall bladder removal after insurance: $980.47

Grossing out my sister by showing her my scars: priceless

There are some things money can’t buy. For emergency surgery, there’s insurance, my savings and my 2004 tax return.

I had no idea it was that affordable. I'm going to look into it.

You got money back? You suck. It's funny -- your net cost is exactly what I had to pay NYS.

Pretty hefty fee for an organ the size of your pinky. With all of those expenses it is a good thing you aren't buying a house right now - oh wait...

Did they leave anything inside? Like a linky ring that fell off the doc's hand during the procedure or something? Because if they did, you get to keep it. Posession is 9 tenths the law.
