Still making my parents proud

My friend Anita gave birth to a little girl this weekend. In comparison, this is what I accomplished this weekend:

My friend Paul's 11 year old son, Andy, made the clown face. Right after this, Andy told me I was a child at heart. Approximately one minute later he told me I was old.

Incidentally, when we went to visit Anita in the hospital, we had to get temporary badges made with our pictures on them. There was an old lady in front of us, and I was confused about what was going on. I accidentally got in her picture with her and held up the whole process. When it was my turn, I went up to get my badge done and the security guard called me "Group Picture". I kind of love that guy.

Your clown looks like Mr. Bill! Nicely done. I could sculpt for hours and still make nothing better than, say, a pebble or possibly a miniature boulder.

Sadly, the clown was made by Andy, who is 11. I made the elephant. Again-very sad.

dang they sure stepped up security since ive been to the hospital.

as much as kids kinda gum up the works of having a carefree life, its hard to believe people actually want to steal them.

your elephant has an extra long trunk. i bet that means something....

Sarah--you are hilarious. I've read through your blog from start to finish (what can I say--I've got some spare time) and you make me laugh out loud. You're a wonderful writer and I enjoy reading your posts like I enjoy eating ice cream. Lemme tell ya--it's a lot. Thanks for letting the Internet in on your crazy antics. I mean this in a not creepy-stalkerish way: I think if we knew each other in real life we'd be friends. :) Enjoy your day!

Amy, thanks for stopping by and actually taking the time to read the entire blog. Are you a glutton for punishment? I really appreciate your sweet comment, and obviously we would totally be friend IRL (in real life). I'm pretty sure IRL is something the kids use in their sexting. Anyway, welcome and THANKS!

I feel like I just met a celebrity. Is it wrong that I'm so excited about it?
