There has to be something else going on in the world

Here is a chart displaying how much I care about Katie Couric in relation to which show she is on:

You may notice there isn't any line on this. That is because it is at 0. What Katie Couric does affects me...oh let's see...not in any way, shape or form. So please, every newspaper, radio station, TV show and online news outlet: Stop effing talking about her before I totally lose my mind.

If you were 70, that chart would look soooo different.

Old people love her. She's "perky".

I'm not a fan of Katie either (this is my polite way of saying that I will never watch any show that she is on)... but, I do appreciate the notice. Now, I know not to watch CBS evening news starting in May. ~christy

I used to watch the Today show, for about the last year, before I got Sirius and started listening to Stern (how that happened, I'm not sure).

I hate Katie Couric.

First, I had a mix-up about her political views. Based on an interview with Michael Moore where she really went after him and made a number of disparaging ad hominem comments (like how he looked like a slob) I assumed she was conservative... it seems she was probably trying to defend Dems from a far left agenda.

But that only revealed what is shown in countless interviews -- she never achieves anything like objectivity. Her taking a news job seems ludicrous to me.

The other problem is that she seems to me to be a conformist. She is like the popular girl at school who will take down anyone that stands out. One facet of this is when zany Robin Williams comes on. Basically all she can do through the interview is smile and giggle, saying "you're sooo odd!". Because Robin is respected, she can't put him down, but you can just tell she thinks being odd is the worst thing in the world she can imagine. And like the popular girl in school, she has all-too little to offer.

OK, maybe she is on a crusade to have women get their poop-chutes inspected, but other than that.

I resent this post. Katie Couric is fantastic ... or at least she was before she betrayed me, Matt Lauer, and the rest of America with this disastrous move.

Sarah, we are not longer friends. Starting in May my mornings are going to be ruined. I'd stay far away from me that month while I adjust to the change.

I am impressed by this post... I thought all females LOVED her. Oh and Schmidt too. (I was half right, anyhow).

This is the funniest freakin post you've ever had. I have a vision of you busting out Excel and setting up this elaborate spreadsheet with like a years worth of data points ( all of them being zero) to create this.

I seriously don't know how we are related. She is amazing and you will shut your mouth. I am in mourning this week because she is leaving and you obviously don't even care. KC FOREVER! The only thing that would make this news better is if Carol Sullivan (ne Chandler) took over for her. That would rule.

OK, I can get behind that. Carol Chandler roxors.

Be honest- you had a thing for Dan Rather didn't you? Sometimes it is hard to move on.

Katie Couric is such a poopfacer. So is D and so is Steph. I disagree with Russ, Katie is not against people being different, she's not that focused. She's just self absorbed, arrogant and totally unpredictable about who she attacks when. There's no rhyme or reason to any of it. Her interview of Mark Burnett the producer of Survivor sealed it for me that she's retarded.

My graph would have negative numbers...she does nothing for me. Enough already..move on.
