A bunch of stuff for you

- Um...can I just say that I effing love "Friday Night Lights"? I loved the movie, now I love the show. A show about high school football? With cute boys (pedophile alert)? And a cute coach (guy who exploded on Grey's)? Bring it. It's so real and so touching and it's football, you guys. Plus this yummy little piece. Someone call the police. Oh wait no he's 24 in real life. We're good. No need to lock up your children.

- Oh...my...God. I don't even know what to say. Ryan and Reese? Over? I'm...I'm devastated. Don't they realize how they are so meant to be that they are actually starting to look like each other? I was just watching a show on E!* where they were talking about their babies, and I was thinking, "Wow they are so perfect together." I am so sad right now. I think I need a drink. Join me-that is the only way any of us will get through this.
*Sidenote about the show on E!: It was a show called "Top 20 most beautiful celebrity babies". They actually ranked the cuteness of celebrity babies. It was seriously the most disgusting, distasteful show I've ever seen. Ranking babies? That is horrible! I felt dirty watching it, but the only reason I did was to see what all the babies looked like. Seriously, E!, not that I look to you for intelligent programming (The Girls Next Door), but that is gross even for you.

- Am I the only person in the country who is not excited about the new Borat movie? It doesn't look funny. It looks stupid. Not to mention it is in my effing face every 5 minutes. Also every time this guy does an interview he does it in character, and that annoys me. Put him on the list with Dame Edna of actors who think they've created funny characters but haven't. Someone who's seen the movie, am I wrong? Is it funny? Or is it really just irritating as it appears? And not to take the wind out of your sails, but even if you say it's funny, I won't believe you.

- You guys, I almost crossed a line today. A line you don't come back from. I almost bought a Christmas sweatshirt from JC Penny. Not like a cute, kind of funky Christmas sweatshirt. One that had fuzzy balls and shiny jewel things on it. Thank God I came to my senses-twice (I went back again after I stopped myself the first time). I fear my resistance will grow weaker as I approach my 30th birthday. Who knows what will happen after that. I simply can't guarantee that I won't buy one along with a holiday themed turtleneck to wear underneath. Someone help me.

Wow -- I must be outof step with the kids... Borat looks hilarious to me. It's not out yet but I'm hoping to attend opening weekend.

Also, the Friday Night Light ads look really dreary so I haven't tuned in -- wondering if I'm missing something. I was all hooked on MTV's Two-a-Days and figured I'd seen enough football for the time being. Durn it all.

Stay away from that sweater Sarah. I'm serious.

I want to see Borat. I know you're not surprised because you hate my taste in movies, but come on, Sarah--he has a kid named HooeyLewis. That's funny.

Borat will grow on you. The ads are confusing, and annoying, but the movie got great reviews even from people who had never seen the character on the AliG show.

Yeah did I mention I don't like the AliG show? I want to like that comedian-Sasha Baron Cohen or whatever his name is-but I just can't seem to muster the strength. I saw a long preview for the Borat movie before another movie, and the whole time I was like, "WTF? This looks horrible." Maybe when it comes out on DVD I will rent it. But I have a feeling I won't like it. I don't like practical jokes, and it seems like this is a whole movie of practical jokes. Like telling someone their wife is ugly (which I saw in the preview). That isn't funny to me. It's just mean.

I applaud you for not purchasing the holiday sweater. Holiday sweaters are a fashion travesty and should all be gathered and burned. Although, due to the high volume of synthetic material in said sweaters, we all may die from toxic fumes, but I digress. If you give in to your weakness and buy the sweater, I'll come out to OH and steal it from your house while you sleep.

I can finally get me some Kate!

Also, Ali G -- is he good or is he wack?

My thought is that if you KNOW that you don't like Ali G, don't even waste your time with Borat. Same idea, different character. I think he's a comedy virtuoso and can't wait to see it. Studios are already fighting over "Bruno".

Borat movie = no. I heard on the Today show that there is some nude wrestling involved. ::shudder::

The Christmas sweater issue is a tough one though. I've gone as far as a long-sleeved cotton t-shirt with a cutesy little embroidered cat all tangled up in Christmas lights on it. I feel a deep sense of shame that it's in my closet, but I like putting it on to hang out in on Christmas day.

That's a good point, Anon. I think I'll wait for the DVD and then check it out. So many people are going crazy over it, maybe I'm wrong.

Oh and AG, I am totally wearing a Halloween shirt right now and bat earrings and when I go home I'm putting on Halloween socks. Holy crap. It's happened. I'm my mom.

Just don't dress up any pets in costume and I think you should make it through Halloween ok.

If all else fails, drive past a Walmart. If you see anyone wearing any artical of clothing or assessory you have on... seek immediate psychological help.

I'm with you on Friday Night Lights, if only because that paralyzed dude has one extremely hot girlfriend. Goddammit I'm such a dirty old man.

Keep in mind, I know absolutely nothing about football, and I still managed to get all excited about something called a "2-point conversion," whatever the eff that is. So yeah, I'm a fan.

Friday night lights: teenage drama + football + hot nice guy= awesome.

Borat- I saw a long preview and thought it looked stupid and not funny. Could be wrong, but have no interest in going to the theater to see it.

Sweater- You're embarrassing me and our family
