I am posting this from home

After my shitty day on Wednesday, Saturday was the best day ever. Here's why:

1. I got Internet. It is so effing fast, I just want to cry. I immediately spent $900,000 at OldNavy.com so I think someone should now take the Internet access away from me. I am not responsible enough to have it.

2. I got cable. Every television in my house has been on since the minute I got it. I channel surf just to delight in how many channels I have. Today I watched a Disney movie called "My Date With the President's Daughter". That's how starved for cable I have been. How in the hell did I go 3 weeks without HGTV? They say you always find out what you're really made of while in a harrowing or desperate situation*. It turns out I am much stronger than I thought I was.

3. I got my mail. I requested my mail be forwarded from my old address starting June 20th. I haven't gotten any mail until yesterday. In among the 47 overdue bills and a wedding invitation for which I missed the RSVP date, I found a note from the mail carrier that said: "Your mail is being delivered to Box #12." I'm posting this message here in hopes that somebody will have their USPS decoder ring on them to help me figure out what this means. Because I have no effing clue.

4. I left my credit card at a bar downtown. Oh wait-nothing good about this except that now I can't buy more stuff on the Internet.

*Absence of HGTV definitely qualifies as harrowing and desperate.

Wait - you don't have your credit card number memorized for easy internet shopping?? Mine is tucked safely in the freezer, which does me no good since I know the numbers by heart.

PS-
You may or may not have been drunk on Saturday....

What? Gordo, I resent that accusation. Just because I tried to unbutton your shirt 17 times and met your friend Frank while dancing on a totem pole and subsequently introduced the totem pole as my boyfriend does not mean I was drunk.

The Internet is going to think I have a drinking problem. I can't help it, Internet! People keep having birthday parties and bachelorette parties and having me over for dinner and putting alcohol near me. It's not my fault!

Funny you said you've had every tv on in the house since you got cable... the electric guy came to my door the other day to say that he needed me to turn off all the tvs and computers in my home so he could switch me over to a new service. I know I had that "deer in the headlights" look as I said "All of them?!" OMG... it took forever. We had four computers on and five tvs. Coulda been worse... :)

Dude,
Don't feel bad, it's not like I was sober for any part of last week. Besides, it's not your fault, temptation is all around us....Don't feel bad, Christy tried to jump on my back while unbuttoning my shirt, that was much worse....

Bystander my ass! I don't think its wise for any of your livers for all the guys to leave town at once anymore. Yikes. I've never seen some of you as drunk as you were Saturday!

Sarah, you may have left your credit card in a bar downtown, but at least you didn't lose a credit card, cell phone and a toothpaste cap while in Vegas. Ask Schmidt about that one...

BTW, Diane sent me the address to you blog, so expect a comment from me daily. Let's face it, I avoid working as much as possible.

Sarah,

You = Funny.

Violet,

Are you saying your credit card account is frozen. Hahahahahahaha!

Lizziedaisy,

That's the best story I've heard. You are 89% American.

Aaron,

Toothpaste cap?

Gordon, Matt, Christy,

Alcoholic hijinks are my favourite.

Violet again,

Hahahahahahahhahaha!

A) credit card: I was not as concerned as Daddy Woody was about that, and Uncle Bob who was convinced I'd used it at the last bar. Turns out I didn't need to be because I just didn't take it with me that night.

B) toothpaste cap: I was framed on that one! I think our cleaning lady stole that one...or at least cleaned up after me and decided that it was garbage and I didn't need to brush my teeth once I got home anyways.

C) cell phone: Drunk Drew. That's all I have to say. Well, that and FedEx will have it back to me in two more days.

I love Disney and I've had cable for awhile. I'm sorry, but the kid from Phil of the Future - Ricky Ullman is a cutie and since he is now 18, I don't feel so dirty. What? It was OK for guys to ogle the Olsen Twins & that red-head who is now a blonde? Double standards suck.
