I can if I want

There are some advantages to living alone. For example, if I fall down the stairs and break my legs, no one will find me for a couple days. Wait...that wasn't the direction I was originally going. What I meant to say was I am never taking down my Christmas tree. I'm not even kidding. I love it so much, and it makes me so happy. Sometimes I hug it but only when I'm drunk or sober. You know what? It's MY apartment, and I can leave it up if I want to. I choose not to follow the general rules of holiday decoration removal. They are not the boss of me.

All I'm saying is that leaving your Christmas tree up is completely equal in greatness to living with the love of your life.

i think this is acceptable only if kim, john, and whoever else are allowed to come over and dance suggestively on the doorframes near the tree.

Yes there absolutely are huge advantages to living alone ! I'm just not sure yet whether they weigh up to the disadvantages ... but then again I probably haven't been living alone for long enough yet. At least I don't have to look at other people's dried out toothpaste in my bathroom sink in the mornings :-) (I hate that !).

I totally agree with you on the decorations issue ... if there are certain decorations you like, why not have them the whole year around ? I mean I love those tiny Christmas lights that look like stars !
Everyone should do more things that they enjoy and not put them off just because it's inappropriate for the season or just because they might be embarassing ... Embarrassement is only felt by those people who care too much about what others think of them.

Love your writing, keep it going !

I'm just saying your tree picture is really in focus.
